It’s hard to give regular adoption updates because there isn’t much new information to share. I’ve got some news and prayer request for you now, though. Thanks for reading and following along!
Our strategy for adoption was fairly simple: raise at least 2/3 of the funds, start the process, then raise the final third during the waiting period. Well, I’m happy to report that (because of God’s people) Amanda and I are well over what we believe is 2/3 funded. It couldn’t have come at a better time!
With moving to AZ, we’re obviously going to adopt in AZ. The state laws there make adoption much easier than in MN, which is awesome for us! The agency we’re going to work with is amazing as well. They had twice the placements last year than the largest agency here in MN had. That’s pretty awesome. They’re average wait time was half what we were expecting here in MN as well.
We hope to start the home study portion (3-6 months) in April and be concluded by the end of summer. Then we will start our waiting period until God provides our baby.
So, I guess you could say that in April, Amanda will be ‘pregnant.’
